1. Students will demonstrate knowledge of major historical and/or cultural events in Europe.
  2. Students will take an interdisciplinary approach with courses from foreign languages, history, social sciences, and literature departments. They will understand the interdisciplinary nature of major topics and subjects in the humanities and the social sciences.
  3. Students will communicate at the intermediate level in a modern European language (French, Spanish or German). They will demonstrate fluency and grammatical correctness in the target language. They will understand communication in the target language, read in the target language and write in the target language.
